Auction of Magic
Numbers at our September auction meeting were augmented by numerous visitors from Bradford, Manchester and elsewhere, all looking for a bargain.
Auctioneer Brian Berry wielded his gavel, and got through almost 300 items in just over three hours, from a Tom Owen watch-winder to a sparkly Zombie, plus plenty of colourful botania; all in excellent condition. Some items which failed to reach a realistic price were retained for future sale, but a healthy sum was raised owing to the generous donation of all the Iots by Anne Walmsley.

Refreshments were on tap throughout the afternoon, and there was the usual banter which makes such events so enjoyable.
As well as Anne and Brian, thanks were also extended to Paul Guy, who had painstakingly catalogued all of the items and linked them to instructions, and Allan Clarke, who had photographed more expensive items and overseen an earlier online sale.
