It was with deep regret that we heard of the passing of our dear friend and loyal member Norman Greenhalgh.
Norman was a member of the League for over 33 years, passing away just before celebrating his 90th birthday.
Prior to his illness, Norman was a staunch supporter of the Society and could always be counted on to help out at our shows.
Working for the police for many years, he was always smartly dressed, and although he was very adept at close-up magic he was always ready to perform cabaret spots when required. He will always be remembered for his signature 'dynamite' trick, utilising stage maroons.
Norman was President of the League in 1999, and In 2021 was made an Honorary Member in recognition of his services to the Society.
He will be very much missed and our thoughts are with his wife Margaret at this sad time.
